“The mission of the theater, after all, is to change, to raise the consciousness of people to their human possibilities.”

                                                      – Arthur Miller

To honor the legacy of Arthur Miller and his New York City public school education, the Arthur Miller Foundation (AMF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality theater education to public school students. AMF also aims to increase the number of students that receive a dedicated theater education as an integral part of their academic curriculum. AMF believes that arts education is a right of every public school student. As an organization, they affirm that if arts education assumes its rightful place in the public school curriculum it will foster generations of imaginative graduates, enhancing the evolving world of theater and all other fields of human endeavor.
Arthur Miller Theater Education Programs:

  • AMF Fellows Program – provides quality resources and dedicated support for certified public school theater teachers, creating sustainable in-school theater programs
  • AMF Scholars Program – provides scholarship grants for educators to earn their theater teaching certification, increasing the number of certified theater teachers in public schools
